Upon submission of a vehicle movement reservation, a Driver on Demand (“DOD”) dispatcher will provide confirmation of the requested movement details to the customer (“You”) via email (“Email Movement Confirmation”).
DOD does not guarantee fulfillment of any vehicle movement request but will use commercially reasonable efforts to assign a qualified driver. In most cases, a minimum of two (2) hours’ advance notice is required to secure driver availability.
DOD drivers may be independent contractors or employees. All drivers are vetted by DOD prior to assignment, which may include criminal background screening, drug testing, motor vehicle record review, verification of a valid driver’s license, and work authorization. The minimum driver age is twenty-five (25) years.
DOD drivers are strictly prohibited from transporting passengers in any vehicle at any time.
Fees and Payments
Vehicle movement fees will be outlined in the Email Movement Confirmation. Any additional expenses not included in the confirmation but incurred in connection with the movement—including fuel, tolls, and ride-share transportation—will be billed as pass-through charges. You are not responsible for violations incurred by DOD drivers, including speeding citations, parking tickets, or toll violations.
Vehicle movement fees are due immediately upon completion of the movement unless otherwise agreed to in writing by DOD.
A cancellation fee of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) will be assessed if You cancel a confirmed reservation within one (1) hour of the scheduled pickup time.
Insurance
DOD maintains the following insurance coverage: (i) $1,000,000 General Liability / $2,000,000 Aggregate (ii) $1,000,000 Primary Auto Liability (Hired and Non-Owned) (iii) $250,000 Crime Coverage and $1,000,000 Professional Liability
Independent contractor drivers engaged by DOD are required to maintain occupational accident insurance providing a minimum of $1,000,000 per person/per accident for medical expenses and related coverages, as applicable.
Upon reasonable request, DOD will provide a Certificate of Insurance evidencing applicable coverage.
Damage Claims
Any claim for alleged vehicle damage must be submitted in writing to support@driverondemand.co within twenty-four (24) hours of the movement being marked as complete, including weekends. DOD shall not be liable for any claim where the DOD driver was not in possession of or operating the vehicle under coverage provided by DOD’s Primary Auto Liability policy at the time of the alleged damage.
DOD may engage third-party claims administrators or adjusters to evaluate damage, assess fault, and determine any payment responsibility.
DOD shall not be liable for, nor reimburse, rental costs, lost wages, loss of use, or diminished value unless expressly agreed to in writing prior to issuance of the Email Movement Confirmation. DOD is not responsible for normal wear and tear, damage caused by road debris (including windshield damage), weather-related incidents, or other force majeure events, regardless of whether a DOD driver was in possession of or operating the vehicle.
